Host’s Remarks: “Building Unity Through Consensus, Patience, Virtue, and Decorum”
In his welcoming statement, host and Leader of Forward Gambia Movement, Ambassador Essa Bokar Sey, set the tone for deliberations under the theme: “Building Unity Through Consensus, Patience, Virtue, and Decorum”.

Ambassador Sey reminded delegates that coalition building is not a meeting of partisan interests, but a convergence of patriotic minds placing national interest above individual ambition. He emphasized four guiding values:: Consensus,Patience, Virtue & Faith, and Decorum . He said building a solid bridge that will last centuries is better than shattering the hopes of our children with short-sighted selfishness.

Ambassador Sey concluded with a call for unity under the Almighty:, adding that the Gambian people are watching us; that History will not judge us by positions held, but by the sacrifices we made.

Key Outcomes

Members discussed a series of agenda items critical to coalition formation. A major item was the Framework for Shared Governance, Democratic Renewal and National Transformation submitted by APP Sobeyaa.
