GAMBIA: UDP Says “Doina Saik” Barrow Must Go 2026

Mr. Lamin Manneh, the UDP Deputy Secretary for External Affairs and Diaspora, on Wednesday evening informed AG Radio that UDP is thoroughly prepared for the 2026 elections, and measures have been put in place to prevent any voter fraud stemming from this government’s actions.

Mr. Manneh stated that UDP is fully aware of the capabilities of the current administration. This is why robust layers of protection and security have been formulated around the UDP leadership. Even if the incumbent finds himself exceedingly desperate to have the UDP leadership arrested, a new leadership, far stronger and more powerful, would undoubtedly arise to guide the party in the right direction.

While we are not against President Adama Barrow, we are critical of his poor policies, the significant corruption, the lack of security, and the widespread hunger in the country. Gambians should exercise caution regarding this administration’s strategy that aims to create division within the nation based on tribal affiliations. Gambians should dismiss any harmful and inaccurate stereotypes directed at UDP. The UDP is a party that embraces inclusivity.

The Adama Barrow who broke the promise to serve just for three years, is the same Adama Barrow who endorsed the principle that no African president should serve more than two terms, only to once again violate that commitment. This president has a history and a documented track record of broken promises. He would say and promises anything just to win an election. Doina Saik, Barrow must go come 2026 elections said Mr. Lamin Manneh.
