    GAMBIA: The fourth Ordinary Session of the National Assembly is Scheduled to Commence.

    The Fourth Ordinary Session of the National Assembly will convene from November 15 to December 23, 2024, according to an official announcement from the Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly.

    “The Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly wishes to announce for the general public’s information that the Fourth Ordinary Session (Budget Session) of the National Assembly in the 2024 Legislative Year shall be convened for the period Friday 15th November – Monday 23rd December 2024,” the Office of the Clerk wrote in a public notice.

    Members of the National Assembly will discuss the Government of The Gambia’s Draft Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the fiscal year 2025 during this session. Motions and bills, reports from various parliamentary committees and delegations, and questions to honorable ministers for oral responses are among the other items on the agenda.

    Additionally, the Clerk’s office said that the daily meetings will start on time at 10:00 a.m. Admittance cards must be obtained from the Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate by anyone who wishes to attend. The public is asked to obey the silent rule throughout the session proceedings and to follow the customary dress code (traditional wear).

    “Daily sitting starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. The Office of the Clerk at the entrance gate is where everyone who wants to attend the daily sittings must get an admittance card. The Clerk’s office sent a reminder to the public to observe the silent rule during the session and to wear the customary suit that is needed for attendance.
