Mr. Momodou Semega Janneh laments to AG Radio the approach taken by the GPA and the government regarding the situation involving the residents of Sanyang and the planned Deep Sea Constructions. Mr. Janneh, like many residents in Sanyang, is now at risk of losing his home. Mr. Janneh asserts that GPA must tackle the matters of compensation and relocations with honesty and clarity.

Mr. Janneh, who lived in Europe for many years, spent millions of Dalasis to construct what he describes as his retirement home, intending to live a peaceful life, only to realise now that he could lose his home to GPA. Mr. Janneh is not opposed to surrendering his home to the government for the construction of this Deep Sea Port; however, it must be done properly and appropriately. The matter of compensations and relocations needs to be addressed.
