    GAMBIA: President Barrow’s Re-election Drive Kicks Off with Grand Sukuta Rally

    The National People’s Party (NPP) grand rally in Sukuta highlights the party’s enthusiasm for President Adama Barrow’s re-election campaign in 2026. The event drew thousands of supporters, showcasing the party’s dedication while underscoring determination to gather support for the coming election in 2026.

    President Adama Barrow, the secretary general and party leader of the National People’s Party (NPP), has committed to a thoroughly equipped campaign for his 2026 re-election effort, with intentions to leverage diverse resources and rally support.

    President Barrow has promised NPP supporters that the 2026 campaign will be well-equipped, with sufficient vehicles, T-shirts, ashobis, and all essential campaign materials to ensure success.

    He stressed that there will be no lack of any items necessary for a successful campaign.

    The President announced that Ministers, alkalos, and chiefs will be involved in campaigning for his bid. He also noted that a number of individuals have pledged to provide financial support for the campaign.

    He stated that even the Minister for Justice will participate in campaigning for the National People’s Party (NPP) in the upcoming presidential election.

    This approach may suggest a strategic effort to establish a robust campaign presence and rally support for his re-election bid.

    Henry Gomez has commended the accomplishments of President Adama Barrow’s administration and highlighted the significance of accountability in government institutions.

    Gomez praises President Barrow for the impressive progress of The Gambia during his tenure.

    He stressed that any deficiencies in government institutions ought to be attributed to ministers and directors, not the president.

    Gomez emphasized that President Barrow has established a solid groundwork for national deveolpment and calls on senior officials to fulfill their duties.

    Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, the Minister for Information, Media and Broadcasting, as well as the secretary general and party leader of Citizens Alliance (CA), has raised concerns regarding the credibility of opposition parties in The Gambia. He asserted that they are devoid of policies and programs, and are mainly motivated by a quest for power and privileges.
