Under sections 71(1) and 71(3) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, President Adama Barrow has made a number of changes to his cabinet that will take effect immediately.
Former Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment, Honorable Baboucar Ousmaila Joof, has been moved to the Ministry of Defense.
The nation’s Auditor General, Mr. Modou Ceesay, has been named the new Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment in his stead.
Appointments within the audit sector are also part of the reorganization. Mr. Masireh K. Drammeh has been appointed Acting Director of Internal Audit, and Mr. Cherno Amadou Sowe, who was previously Director of Internal Audit, has been made Auditor General.
