In a news release, the Gambia Police Force said it is looking into the Independent Electoral Commission’s (IEC) audit results.
“The Special Audit Report prepared by the Auditor General regarding the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) highlights audit concerns that the Gambia Police Force is looking into,” the statement said.
The public was also given the police’s word that they would be informed of any noteworthy developments during the inquiry. “We promise that the inquiry will be conducted with expertise and integrity, and we pledge to notify the public of any significant developments.
