On Sunday, August 10, 2025, the Brufut Anti-Crime Unit apprehended four individuals linked to a car drifting incident along the Jabang Highway.
The individuals facing charges are Momodou Martin Sanyang, Sering Mass Gaye, Muhammed Bah, and Ismaila Faal, who appeared before Magistrate Isatou Jallow at the Brusubi Magistrates’ Court.
All four individuals faced charges of Dangerous Driving, in violation of Section 49 of the Motor Traffic Act.
Additionally:
- Sering Mass Gaye faced charges for Unlicensed Driving, in violation of Section 36 of the Motor Traffic Act.
- Ismaila Faal faced an additional charge of Unauthorized Use of Tinted Glass, in violation of Section 25C (1) of the Motor Traffic Act.
The defendants entered a plea of not guilty to each of the charges against them. The prosecution raised objections to bail, presenting valid reasons, and Magistrate Jallow supported the application, directing that all four individuals be held in custody.
The case is now scheduled to resume on Monday, August 18, 2025, allowing the prosecution time to present its witnesses.
