Officers attached to the Kanifing Mobile Traffic Unit on Thursday questioned former National People’s Party (NPP) West Coast executive Fanding Baldeh over a political sign displayed on his pickup truck, sources said.
The officers reportedly arrived at Baldeh’s home in Brikama at approximately 2:30 p.m. and asked him to accompany them to their station. He later drove his Toyota Tacoma to the traffic unit, where the questioning was conducted in the presence of his lawyer.
Sources familiar with the incident said the interview centred on a “No to Third Term” message attached to the rear of the vehicle. The officers also reviewed the pickup’s registration and insurance documents during the questioning.
The documents were found to be valid, according to the sources.
Baldeh was allowed to leave the station after the interview and was not charged with any offence.
