Mrs. Salimatta E.T. Touray, Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, has announced her resignation from the Ministry of Information. In the interim, the role will be supervised by Chief of Staff Mod K. Ceesay.
With effect from Friday, October 11, 2024, the Ministry of Information today notifies the public that Mrs. Salimatta E.T. Touray, Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, has taken a statutory leave of absence. “Until a successor is appointed, the duties of the position will be assumed by Mr. Mod K. Ceesay, Chief of Staff,” the Information Ministry said.
H.E. President Barrow expressed his sincere gratitude to Mrs. Salimatta Touray for her outstanding service and leadership.
The statement ended by saying, “He also conveyed his deep appreciation for her priceless contributions to the country over her illustrious career and wished her luck in her future undertakings.”
