Faal.

Mr. Ceesay, who has served as Managing Director at GPPC for several years, is now under scrutiny as the state-owned enterprise, responsible for the government’s printing and publishing needs, is being investigated.

The GPPC is tasked with the production of documents, newspapers, books, and various printed materials for government institutions as well as the general public.

In the press release, the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Commission highlighted the gravity of the corruption allegations put forth by Dr. Faal, stating, “This follows serious allegations of corruption and other administrative malpractices made against him by the new Chair of the GPPC board, Dr. Alieu O Faal.” In light of the seriousness of these allegations, the SOE Commission deems it essential to implement prompt and resolute measures in line with governance and sound corporate practices’, the statement reads.

The press statement disclosed that the commission has initiated an audit of GPPC to meticulously investigate the allegations put forth by the board chair.

The board has decided to place the Managing Director on administrative leave with immediate effect to ensure that the audit is conducted transparently, objectively, and without interference.
