President Adama Barrow yesterday officially inaugurated the 11-storey Global Tower, the new headquarters of Global Properties, describing the landmark development as a powerful symbol of Gambian ambition, resilience, and entrepreneurial excellence. The ceremony brought together senior government officials, business leaders, development partners, and members of the public to witness what is being celebrated as a historic achievement in the country’s real estate sector.
Addressing guests at the event, President Barrow praised the project as evidence of what Gambians can accomplish through determination and hard work. He stated that the inauguration was “a powerful reminder of what Gambians can achieve” when vision is matched with commitment and perseverance. The President commended Global Properties founder and Chief Executive Officer Saul Frazer for nearly two decades of contribution to housing development, job creation, and national growth.
The President noted that Global Properties had grown from a modest enterprise into one of the country’s leading real estate institutions, describing the opening of the tower as a reflection of the company’s remarkable transformation and long-term success.
In his keynote address, Frazer reflected on the company’s journey, recalling that Global Properties was born from a personal experience and a desire to make home ownership more accessible to Gambians. “Nineteen years ago, I planted a seed,” he said, adding that the tower stands as proof of what “vision, resilience and faith can achieve.”
Frazer also unveiled plans for a Mortgage House within Global Tower to provide affordable housing finance and real estate services. “Our dream is for every Gambian to own a home,” he declared.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone for Gambian entrepreneurship and signals a new chapter in the nation’s urban and economic development.
