    GAMBIA: Dodou Jah, the Deputy Spokesperson for the APRC Resigns

    Effective March 18, 2025, Dodou Jah, the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction’s (APRC) Deputy Spokesperson and Director of Media, has formally resigned from his role.

    Jah notified the APRC National Chairman and Party Leader, the Right Hon., in a letter to the party leadership. the National Executive Committee, the Speaker of the National Assembly, and the larger APRC membership in The Gambia and the Diaspora of Alhagie Fabakary Tombong Jatta’s decision to resign.

    Jah wrote, “I want to thank the party’s leadership, supporters, and sympathisers for giving me the opportunity to serve in various capacities within the party.” He also thanked the party’s supporters, sympathisers, and leadership for their unwavering trust and cooperation during his tenure. He wrote, “The love and respect they showed me was wonderful and deserving of my humble gratitude.”

    Jah stressed that he has no regrets about his time with the APRC and thanked the Gambian public, media outlets, and party supporters for their support.

    He reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people and The Gambia, as well as his continued membership in the party, while resigning from his official position.
