Public invited to submit testimony to assist with inquest proceedings. The Bursubi Magistrate’s Court has announced the appointment of Magistrate Mamsamba Jallow as Coroner to conduct a formal inquest into the death of Ibrahim Kalilou Diallo.

According to the information received, Ibrahim Kalilou Diallo fell from a story building. The court is now inviting members of the public who have information relevant to the inquiry to come forward with their statements.

A coroner’s inquest is a formal investigation used to establish the facts surrounding a death, particularly circumstances that remain unclear. The coroner’s role is independent and distinct from criminal proceedings. Rather than determining guilt or innocence, the inquest seeks to answer key questions: who the deceased was, when, where, and how they died, and what the circumstances were.

The Registrar’s office at the Bursubi Magistrate’s Court has invited anyone with relevant knowledge or testimony to submit a written statement to assist the investigation. Members of the public can contact the Registrar’s office directly to provide their account of events.

The coroner will evaluate all submitted testimony and other evidence to produce findings that establish the true circumstances of Mr Diallo’s death.
