Halifa Sallah, a seasoned veteran politician and a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Organization for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS), has unveiled his latest book, ‘Constitution Building Socioeconomic Challenges in The Gambia.’ The book arrives at a moment when the 2020 draft constitution has been rejected by the National Assembly, with President Barrow presenting the 2024 draft constitution after assuring that a referendum will take place in December this year.
This new book reportedly contains less than 200 pages. The book offers clear explanations of the entire process of our constitution, identifies challenges, and presents guidelines for addressing these challenges.
