Ya Fatou Suwaneh, 35, has been taken into custody by Tujereng police in relation to the alleged murder of her mother, Binta Bojang, 58, on Tuesday.
Investigators and a Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) team went to the scene to collect evidence after the event. In addition to gathering witness accounts, they found the blood-stained pestle that was purportedly used in the crime.
According to a police statement, “the police are actively continuing their investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the tragic event.”
