The state Counsel informed the court that they intend to appeal against the acquittal and discharge of Abdoulie Sanyang, and Counsel requested the detention of Abdoulie Sanyang pending their appeal.
Justice Jaiteh declined the State’s request for remand and granted Abdoulie Sanyang bail under the following conditions:
A bail bond of D50,000.
One Gambian surety must deposit their National ID and file an affidavit of means.
Justice Jaiteh emphasises that bail will lapse in 30 days if the State fails to file an appeal.
