The Gambia Police Force, through the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Brusubi, has launched an investigation into an alleged murder incident involving two young men: Essa Anderson, 24, of Paradise Estate, and Alhagie Gaye, 24, of Bijilo.
The matter was reported to the Police by relatives of the deceased. Upon receipt of the information, a Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) team was immediately dispatched to the scene at Dalaba Estate, Paradise View and Bijilo.
Preliminary investigations revealed that both victims appeared to have sustained severe physical assaults.
The bodies have since been transported to the mortuary in Banjul for possible postmortem examination to establish the exact cause of death. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
