Dear Mayor Bensouda,
I write to you yet again.
The mistake many make is believing that if they once stood by you, or offered support along the way, then they “made” you. It is as though your worth, your vision, your capacity to lead, were not already written deep within you.
Yes, the UDP shaped your path, but they did not create you, and they cannot destroy you. The only one who holds that power over Mayor Ahmed Talib Bensouda is Talib Bensouda himself.
Now is a moment that demands strength of spirit. It is not about shouting back at the noise, nor bending under its weight, but about standing resolute, focused, and strategic. Storms rage, but they also pass. In their wake, what endures is the one who had the courage to remain upright, the one who kept his eyes fixed on the horizon.
I remind you again of my very first letter to you, written not as a critic, but as a brother, speaking from a place of loyalty and love. My words then were clear: in politics, bold and honest steps matter more than safe calculations. You are being tested now, not by your opponents, but by history itself. It is in moments like these that legacies are forged.
Ride the storm. Let the noise exhaust itself and when the quiet comes, strike with clarity, with conviction, and with truth.
You were not made by others. You are a man born of purpose, and that purpose will carry you forward, if you choose to walk it with courage.
I remind thee yet again : “The blessings of a mother are infinite. Seek it, and non, born of man and woman, can harm thee. I am a living testimony of this fact.”
Sincerely,
