During an interview yesterday with AG Radio, Mr. Lamin Sillah, Chairman of the UDP Chapter in Bronx, New York, recounted his direct observations of voter fraud incidents involving certain members of the NPP during the 2021 elections. He was taken aback and quickly shared the news on social media, where it swiftly became popular. Before Mbemba Drammeh acknowledged his role in the manipulation of the 2021 elections, many individuals had already stepped forward to recount the instances of voter fraud they witnessed. Ebrima Kaireh was among those who documented several audio messages denouncing the elections as fraudulent.

Mr. Lamin Sillah revealed that a civil society group named No to Third Term is organising extensive protests nationwide that will persist until President Adama Barrow withdraws his intention to seek a third term.

In 2021, after compelling evidence emerged indicating that the NPP had manipulated the elections, a large crowd gathered at the residence of Honourable Ousainou Darboe, ready to take to the streets. Darboe implored them to rethink their decision, expressing his concerns for their safety and his desire to avert any potential harm or loss of life. The crowd cautiously followed his lead.

If the government decides to manipulate the elections once more, we will disregard Honourable Ousainou Darboe’s advice to remain at home and will take to the streets instead. “Certainly, we have established a group and are poised to coordinate nationwide protests against Barrow’s bid for a third term,” Mr. Sillah stated.
